Shop assistant had my debit card for 2 mins, fraud?
Gave my debit card to my kid to buy a donut so he could use it on tap and pay then he left it with shop assistant for 2 mins and came to get me. Card didn't work.
With my card he could've taken a photo and got my acc number/sort code cvc number and 16 digit number and name? What shall I do?

I doubt he would do that!
Was it a big chain donut shop?
If anything would happen you would see it in the app or on your Bank Statements

They were probably more concerned that a 'kid' had a debit card that didn;t appear to belong to them…..

If the card did not work then they had no option but to keep hold of it while your child came to get you.

Sounds like one of the few occasions that a card with no details on would have been apposite.

If you are concerned, cancel the card and get a new one sent out.

And maybe (very probably) he didn't do any of these things and you're completely overreacting. Your opinion of people isn't very high. 😐️ The shop seems to trust him with handling their cash so maybe he's actually a good person.
Many banks allow you to temporarily freeze debit cards in their apps. You can turn off contactless as well so the card can only be used with chip and pin.
If he likes using cards to pay for stuff like doughnuts, maybe get him something like a Go Henry card?

That's a bit tricky. You've almost certainly broken your bank's t&cs by allowing somebody else to use your debit card. I've heard of banks closing people's bank accounts for doing that.
If no fraud results from this, maybe the best solution is to keep quiet about it.
But if some fraud does occur and the bank asks you questions, I guess you might have to admit to breaking the t&cs.
The bank might suggest that allowing your kid to use your debit card was 'gross negligence', and therefore they don't have to reimburse you for any losses due to fraud.

person in shop was probably concerned about whether the child had just found the card etc etc - sensibly sent them to get you

It's certainly possible they did that, but they would have to be pretty stupid to do it in such an obvious way. They might well be that stupid but you are probably just as much at risk from having your card details exposed in data breach. I wouldn't worry too much personally but if it bothers you then report the card as lost and get them to send you a new one.
If any fraud does take place I doubt the bank will ask you much. When someone used my card details I just reported it in the app and they sent me a new card and that was the last I heard of it.
