Ripped off by Outside Clinic opticians - is there anything I can do?

Yes but at an uneconomic rate, so in order to make any money the optician needs to sell glasses from most or all of the sight tests they carry out.
I don't like the system any more than you do but that is the way it works - sadly!

How much of it though?
Yes they will get the sight test fee back, which will be no where near covering their expenses to get from person to person. Given they will not be employed by OCO, mealy locams.
Go to many opticians & the same frames will have different prices. Just the same as the lenses will have different prices.
You pay your money & choose your outlet. Anyone coming to your home is going to cost more to cover the extra expenses involved.

I don't suppose there are many people who are employed by "OCO, mealy locams", at least not when sober! 😉

why is a business making a profit,,,a rip off?
1 -
To be fair, I don't think anyone (except those for whom capitalism is a dirty word) begrudges companies making a profit, but there comes a point where that becomes profiteering or predatory pricing, or a 'ripoff' for those preferring emotive language - obviously where that line is drawn is largely subjective, and some opinions are more valid than others if basing views solely on selling prices rather than understanding the costs of the business…

Strawman, nobody said this.
Anyway, I've received my refund so the matter is settled.

Are you saying you got a refund for the damaged pair?
How much did you get?

Consumer rights and the Law disagree with you
Its the same as my local Spoons charging £1.99 for a pint of draft cider and a pub i went somewhere else charging £7.10 but I don't complain about this

Yes, I got the full amount I paid for them.

So you paid £210 for two pairs and got a refund of £105?
