    I'd have thought that the fiscal drag effect of the lengthy threshold freezes would have created substantial volumes of extra higher rate taxpayers of all ages, so would be surprised if this caused one particular cohort to be bucking the trend when it comes to self-assessing (while others would presumably have to be coming out of SA in order to balance the numbers), but happy to be corrected if there are any reliable facts available?
