How to open a new Kent Reliance ISA
Has anyone managed to work out how to apply for a new KR cash ISA as an existing customer under the new login system? (i.e. you have a username rather than the old 10 digit UID)
If I login to KR first and select 'open new account' then ISA accounts do not appear in the list of options.
If I don't login first then the system asks if I have a 10 digit UID. If I answer 'no' then it seems to assume I am a new customer and it asks me for information that I have already provided under the new login system.
I get the impression that KR ISA accounts have not yet been moved onto their new system.
I tried to contact Customer Support to ask about this but gave up after going through various menus, listening to the usual recorded information about their website etc. followed by a lengthy wait.

ISA's are still opened via the old 10 digit UID, as you'll notice that the ISA's edition's are still using the old numbers.
So if you don't hold any product under the old 10 digit UID, then apply as a new customer and if you had a old 10 digit UID then you can still use this to log in to view the ISA once opened. Unfortunately the system doesn't recognise the old UID if you don't still have any products under it and so it will mean putting all the info in again.

ISAs will not appear on the new system til later in the year I am told. I had to open one and fund it on the old system , which meant moving money from my savings account on the new system into an old account on the old system. ( instead of a quick and easy transfer from the new system ) Bonkers and frustrating. You can also fund them from an external account

In the end I decided to open a new Virgin Money 'Double Take E-ISA' payng 4.15%.
The VM 'two withdrawl' limited access is not an issue for me and the interest rate is slightly better than Kent Reliance Easy Access (4.05%).
Despite the recent VM takeover by Nationwide, the online application process was quick and easy. Deposit payments and transfers in also appear to be straightforward.
