Would people mind explaining the circumstances that makes them believe they will be owed a repayment please?

I have previously paid one off payments into pension pots and I keep a record of my charity donations too. I also pay for a professional membership.

I believe these things would allow a refund of (income) tax paid, but wonder if there are other things too.

I work in construction and get deducted cis payments which I can then claim part of back

That is a bit of a how longs a piece of string question.

For some people the three things you mention could mean a tax refund is due. But for others there might not be any refund due.
