Oh, I don't know about that. We have at least 750m of other hedging, and I certainly wouldn't want leylandii to replace that. Also, it was a newly planted leylandii hedge which caused us to move out of our first house in 1987, because we could see it would soon seriously impact the small garden we had then. So far as I know, it's still there, despite action under the High Hedges Act.
Maybe not that far apart!
