Hmrc self assessment point 6 & ISA interest?
Hi,
Not sure of I have to do self assessment again this year, or for 2024-2025, or even if I have the correct year for when I need a self assessment for.
BUT in any case, point 6 of the "do I need to self assess" questionaire mentions additional income.
If I am using my normal savings and easy access cash ISA interest to give me a extra pounds in my hand every month as part of my pension/spending money, can this be counted as additional income?
Thank you.

No, ISA income is not required to be declared.

You don't need to pay tax on ISA income even if it exceeds £2500 pa.

Savings interest (and dividend) income is covered by question 5 of that wizard, so the 'additional income' item referred to in q6 doesn't relate to savings.
