I am thankful: that roommate G has gone a whole week without drinking, that I made it through the meeting of the Friends yesterday (I was presiding), that one of my roommates paid one month of his rent so I could pay the last of the April bills on time (he is still 7 months behind, mental health issues), that our weather has been so nice here.

I messaged DS2 last week to wish him a happy birthday. He said they'd decided to just have a beach day. Last night he sent me photos - not a donkey in sight. There were camels. They went to Egypt for the week. My grand-daughters have visited 2 more continents than I have and the baby's only just turned one.
Thanks for this month's thread apple. As usual any failings are mine
