NSD 4 today. We are going to get battered by Storm Dave. Even the ferries were cancelled from 10am. They will hopefully be fine on Monday for our escape.
DHs elderly parents are slowing down a lot since Autumn. Not good but inevitable really.
I am remaining firmly in the background.

Today I am grateful for Pip's prescription painkillers doing their job, for a lovely walk this morning, for a colourful garden of tulips and forget me nots, for sausage and mash for tea.

Not an easy Start to the month, I've had a trapped nerve in my shoulder for the last 10 days or so, but thankfully it's easing today.
I've finally broken up from school, so can enjoy taking things a bit easier. Today I've had a lie in, been for a walk with DH, then chopped lots of cheap veg to make soup, whilst DH had a big bonfire in the garden.
Grateful for more movement/less pain, a better night's sleep, signs of spring
Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

NSDs racked up to 5, had to buy a snack today while travelling back to the UK. So glad to be home. One week of school hols left.

Another NSD here. Woke up every hour last night with my shoulder, but it felt fine when it was morning.
Spent 3 hours in the garden, cutting overhanging branches from our trees in our garden, going over our boundary, then cleared a border of dead stems.
Used up some wizened mushrooms with garlic on toast for dinner, & spent the afternoon sewing & watching yootoob videos off my list.
Tonight I've been knitting squares with oddments of wool. Don't have a project on the go, so this will fill a gap & eventually there'll be enough squares to make a jumper to wear in the garden.
Grateful for my shoulder feeling better, time in the garden & another 3 bags of sewing done
Use it up, wear it out

A sunny day, so went for a cliff top walk with DH & this time we managed to find what's left of late DS1's graffiti tag & bonfire. Gave us comfort to know we were in the same spot he had once been.
Read my book whilst eating dinner, then cleared a bit of space in the greenhouse & painted the metal part of the wheelbarrow. Planted some bulbs.
After tea I had my penultimate counselling session, then did 2 sewing jobs.
Grateful for finding DS's marks, a lovely day, time in the garden, managing to progress with DS's pension claim
