Signing into Microsoft teams

I have a Galaxy A16, Android version 16.

When I try to sign into microsoft teams, it just says "Confirming app status," then "working on it," "still trying and nothing happens."

I tried reinstalling it and nothing it just doesn't connect.

Any ideas?

If this is for work purposes then contact your manager or the IT team to reset your credentials first off.

My credentials work - as I can log into outlook.

I don't know how teams works but if it is to log into a works account then it may be possible that they regularly change log in details? We used to use Zoom and that was the case with ourselves.

Is your mobi managed by Intune and issued by your employer? It's possible you don't have a valid Teams license on the server.

my IT said that

a) my login's are successful

b) they can't help any more as it is my phone.

Have you tried signing in on another device? is it possible to sign in on the browser on the phone rather than the App?

Your in tune policies likely need you to install teams from inside company portal not from the android play store. Maybe your outlook is installed from there which is why it is working.
