CE fine 4-5 months ago whilst seeing a patient

I'll try keep this quick.

Today i received a letter for a PCN that occurred back in 20/11/25.This is the first time I've heard anything about it. We don't tend to get any mail lost and haven't moved or changed DVLA details in the last few years.

According to their website they want £170 and i cant appeal because its too late.

I work for the NHS, was visiting a patient who was having a medical emergency and in significant MH stress. This isn't someone i can leave so i was there for approx 50ish minutes.

I have found a few emails to contact CE on here so i can explain the situation to them. I doubt they'll be sympathetic if im honest.

What's my best course of action here? £170 is insane.

    Ignore them, Wait for either

    1. A Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice either from CEL or from their lawyers

@LAEllis to be honest, at the moment, you want a claim form for these things because a judge is a fairer decision maker than the PPC and their trade body appeals services.
