EP Financial Solutions - Scotland
Hi folks, I'm being contacted by EP Financial Solutions in Scotland and wanted to know if other have experiences of them?
They are r aching out following a parking notice from DCB around 18 months. I made complaints to DCB, the land owner and the usual driving authorities but they have continued to send letters and phone. DCB rejected my complaint. I have not engaged otherwise.
Should I call back EP Financial Solutions?

Read the NEWBIES sticky regarding Scotland, don't tell em (Pike) who was driving and ignore.

I have never heard of them either, but the IGNORE advice still applies in Scotland for the time being
What you dont IGNORE are official letters under the simple procedures claims process, probably from a sheriffs office in Scotland

LOL! A new kid on the block!Gotta have some fun with these kiddies:
Dear EP Financial Solutions Ltd,Your ref xxxxxxxxxxx
So, you purport to be an 'experienced' team despite never having handled private parking charge cases before.
Pray tell me:
- why have you lied that you don't take an admin fee just because DCB Legal has pre-loaded that enhancement? That doesn't mean you aren't taking an admin fee. You are reportedly splitting the added £70 (£35/£35) with DCB Legal on recovered cases, are you not? Explain why you lied or how your admin fee % differs if it's not a fifty-fifty split?
- Why has £70 been added on top of a £100 PCN that the UK Supreme Court held - in the famous ParkingEye case - already 'had to' cover all enforcement costs? This is binding case law. Smacks of double recovery, doncha think?
- Why are you pursuing registered keepers (again lying) by telling recipients that they 'owe a balance'? There is no keeper liability law in Scotland yet, and no lawful presumption that a keeper was the driver on private land. In short: registered keepers are never liable here.
Why are you misleading people?
Please reply in full and think carefully about your wording.
I intend to report your letter to CAB Scotland, Consumer Scotland and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) who are in the midst of a newly launched 'consumer drive' and recently fined a parking operator close to £500k for ignoring them.
Kindly respond in full within 14 days then cease and desist. Obviously I won't be paying, nor do I fancy a chat with DCB's South African call centre motley crew.
yours faithfully,

The letter says if you ignore they will escalate it to DCB Legal who gave it to them in the first place!
