4K TV and SkyQ
I have SkyQ and a 4K TV but because the SkyQ is old it does not output 4K
It never bothered me before but now I have all these streaming services like Paramount Plus, Disney Plus and Amazon Prime is it just as simple as calling Sky to get a new box or will it cost me more each month?

I assume the TV is a Smart one as mine is and it offers these sort of things on it's Apps. so do you really have to mess about with Sky?

Go to this link and it explains a lot about the Sky Q box and options.
Sky Q mini boxes aren't 4k or UHD but the main box could be if you pay for UHD from Sky and have a compatible box . The 2 tb boxes were UHD but not sure about the 1 tb .

You can get both 1TB & 2TB Sky Q UHD boxes but if you're downloading or recording 4K then the 1TB hard drive fills up quickly. They will try and charge you £99 for the 2TB box at least and then you'll pay extra for adding UHD to your sub. That will cost an extra £4 on top of the £9 for HD (both undiscounted prices).
If it's just for those Apps then I'd definitely use the Smart TVs built in Apps presuming you're paying for the UHD versions. That will give you both a better picture and better audio output.
