Car finance claim

Hi I received a call from a solicitors apparently who id never heard of but I guess because I'd been searching fir previous cars. They said if I've applied myself to individual car lenders and have any agreement (I havent) with a legal firm my claims will be null and void. One. Us this true, and two. I haven't instructed them they may know my address etc but never provided legal details like dob, car lending dates etc?

Hi I received a call from a solicitors apparently who id never heard of but I guess because I'd been searching fir previous cars.

If you have used any of the social media or website "check for finance" agreements, then many of these result in you signing up for them to claim on your behalf and agree a fee for doing so.

That is in line with regulatory instructions.

You probably have signed up to them if you used their checker. You dont need dob or lendng dates to sign up.

I myself if I was in your position ask them to prove how and when you actually signed up to them.

    They must have this information.

Watching The Martin Lewis Money Show on Thursday, I'm sure a question was asked to the head of the FCA

Nikhil Rathi about this subject. You may want to watch the programme back on ITV X.
