DCB Legal offering settlement

I received a parking fine from NPC when parking in the underground car park of the building where my friend lives. I disputed the fine on the basis there was no signs explaining I should not park without a permit, my friend was also not aware of the rules and he had encouraged me to park there. I went back and took pictures which clearly show there were no signs in the area where I parked or by the entrance to the apartment block from the car park. I have shared these pictures with DCB Legal and they now have come back with a Without Prejudice letter to offer a settlement of £50, the original fine was £60. What should I do?

The original pcn was £100, not £60 ( there was no fine, just an invoice from NPC. )

I suggest that you ignore them because they will discontinue any court claim before the hearing fee is due

I assume you already defended a claim?

If yes, IGNORE OFFERS as they are about to discontinue. We need to see the NoD when they send it over please!

@Umkomaas is counting them all as evidence for the Government.

@Coupon-mad this is what they sent me

WITHOUT PREJUDICE SAVE AS TO COSTS

We write in relation to the above matter.

Please note that our Clients position remains that there was sufficient signage on the Land to constitute notice to all Drivers.

In the interest of settling the matter we can confirm our Client is agreeable to accepting £50.00 in full and final settlement of this matter. Should you fail to make payment within 14 days from the date of this email, a Claim will be issued against you.

    ____________

They have not shared any pictures with me supporting their clients position despite the fact I have shared my pictures with them following a telephone call with a member of their team.

We all say IGNORE as it's DCBL

Do not ignore a REAL court claim if that happens.

Once DCBL start making offers, it means they DON'T want to go that far and this is prime for them to discontinue but ….. be prepared for further contact from DCBL whereby they try to scare you

Think about it, if they thought they could win they would NOT make offers. Play the game with DCBL and enjoy

I have received a claim from the courts now, with the option to admit or dispute (form N9A or N9B). I intend to fill the form saying that they claimed they had signage but I have pictures which show there was no signage. Any other advice?

I assume that you have an N1SDT claim form from the CNBC in Northampton ?

do not fill anything in yet !

post a redacted picture of the claim form below, after hiding the following items

name & address on the left

VRM details on the lower left

claim reference number on the top right

    password on the bottom right

Yep, this is not done with paper forms, all online using MCOL.
