Oh, me too @Sallyp2 - @Nelliegrace is inspirational with her wartime rations approach - and let us remember - our population might have moaned about rations (we like a good moan, I think!) but we were at our absolute healthiest and many of that wartime generation are still alive (my 96 y.o. mother, to name but one!)

Sneaking in to declare this months total of £381.67, which brings my total spend this year to £1453.41. It doesn't look at all likely I'm going to come in on target for the year, due to the ever rising prices, but I'm going to soldier on so I know how much to adjust next year.
See you on the May thread.

I hadn't realised that the three drones I could see were recording for the College rather than as individuals so thanks for that link. I could even see the group of people I was with in the Botanic Garden at one stage although I couldn't pick myself out.

I still need to add a few spends.
There is one I can't add though as I don't know whether to write it off or add it regardless.
I had an order from J -Eat. My mobility has been affected by a diagnosis of Psoriatic Arthritis a year ago; so occasionally this helps me, when I'm not able to get out. However, only half the order came and JE are refusing to refund me. I've contacted the shop, but online CS agents have said because it's third party they won't be able to sort it out. Tried a chargeback through the bank, but they can't honour it as I used pay direct from bank ( which I'm now kicking myself for). I've ended up having to email the CEO of Just E.
So, very annoying to be out of pocket when I've got eight days left to go.

@K9sandFelines oh that’s terrible. Did you happen to take a picture of the groceries when they arrived? Hopefully that kind of proof may help.

I didn't @JingsMyBucket because I didn't think I'd need to; but still have them all in the cupboard/fridge freezer.
I've read a full group of similar stories since of them not refunding people. So, they will be making a fortune.
Might have to just put it down to experience, and be a bit more organised in future.

@K9sandFelines you could write to WatchDog on the BBC (they only do a story when lots of people do though) or one of the newspaper consumer champions. When I was on Twitter, posting on a company's account to point out their shortcoming would illicit a prompt response too (I stopped about six years ago)
