Good Afternoon GC'rs
I have spends to declare - on this thread, and the May thread 😬 There was a reason for my spending.
I went to the little MrL (after a visit to the library), and bought red onions x 2, olive spread and a 4 pinter whole milk. This didn't quite reach the £5 spend needed to trigger the newby/joining vouchers I have, BUT I left it at that. I was the right side of town for fArmF00ds, so went for a looksie. I wanted cubed frozen ginger, but they had none (again), but I did buy some bits and pieces whilst i was there, but as they won't be used until May, they will be tallied against my May budget. I got; 2 x 410g pr1nces fruit cocktail tins for £1, 3 x 400g butter beans for £1, 2 x 500g passata for 39p ea, and 2 bottles (500ml) of Bee-V0ir farms apple and blackcurrant cordial (glass bottles) for 69p each. I thought these were particularly good value. I also bought some salt for killing weeds in the lawn, but that will come out of non food - so in total, my FF/May budget expenditure today stands at £4.26.
On the return journey, I did pop into the bigger MrL for some feta cheese. I saw that there were loads of green boxes on the side. Most of the boxes didn't appeal - they were 'potato' boxes, or 'cabbage' boxes or 'parsnip' boxes, but there were 2 that I liked the look of, and I plumped for one (mostly fruit if we're counting tomatoes as a fruit), that I thought I could make use of. So £2 box, 85p feta, and I got the TV listings guide too. Final stop was 'omebargins for yoghurt, £3 spent.
My total spend today, that will be used in 'someway' (probably) before the start of May is £10.11. Which is either very close to, or over what was left …… 😬

Declaring for April at:
£250.11/£350
Really pleased with this, although not quite sure how exactly I managed it. Weekly shop is now down to £40/£50 as a regular value with a few top ups. I'm keeping it at the same value as I have a weekend away and a festival in May both of which I will be buying food/alcohol for so I think this month I will spend the budget, but am shopping my cupboards and sticking to lots of veggie options to keep the cost down, although I am now eating meat again.

All my plans went out of the window because I had a bad night so stayed in bed until 11:30am to try to make up for it.
Once I was up I decided to make the most of the fairly sunny day here and went shopping on my bicicyle, I spent £2.28 on two huge bunches of dill and coriander although I noticed that the coriander bunch had suffered from shrinkflation to keep it at 99p.That makes my new totals

I'm another one who has gone over budget this month. I had a delivery of £115.70 but it included some stock-up items which I didn't need immediately but which had reductions so it made sense to me.
£319.08/£300 for the month. Onwards to May!

Declaring April at £460.13/£400. Over budget and knew I would be as stocks were running low. I took £60.13 out of my £200 slush fund and I was under budget jan-mar.
We are now well stocked on everything and freezers are full to bursting. I will only need fresh stuff and cheese during May.
I’ll see you over on the May thread.

Declaring at 19p over. I underestimated how much milk I'd want - pleased to report I made a flask of coffee and took some choc-nut-raisin mix for a long canal walk on Sunday though. Often I kid myself I'll wait and then end up in a coffee shop.
