Good Morning GC'rs
I'm back from my 'normal' weekly shop. I went to MrL, MrS and h0mebArgins. I wasn't lucky enough to drop on any green boxes in MrL today ☹️ and I don't think I got anything YS'd. I had a couple of n*ctar prices in MrS - cucumber & celery. It was all ingredients/components, certainly no 'fun' foodstuffs, and my total spend was £25.48.
I have already updated my siggie figgie with today's spends.

Well, it's all gone a bit wrong again 🙄 My Sainsbugs delivery £104.76 on Saturday, this included stocking up on Nector price cat food. (My friend did suggest that I shouldn't have stocked up quite so much given that the cat's eighteen!)
Then two things happened,I got poorly again and the oven packed up. The new oven isn't being installed for two weeks, so it was off to M&* for easy things to cook without an oven, which was another £26.05.
Finally, I spent another £7.55 at the local Co.*p on the things I'd forgotten when doing the other shops.
So that's £248.00 spend out of £425.00, leaving £177.00 for the rest of the month.
I haven't touched by bulk fund £40.00 yet as I can't think quite what to buy with it.🤔

Ocado shopping coming shortly, no subs. Couldn’t resist ‘buy 4 for 3’ on the m and s wines so have got 16 bottles coming. That is in the bulk section of my split for the year £128. Which in theory should be nice @£8 each. I am familiar with some which we have had before. These are reserved for our Sunday lunches and for our holiday in June.
The rest of the shopping comes to £78.59 and should last me in to the first week of May.
Fruit and veg both fresh and frozen, coleslaw, several packs of sausages, having lamb ones tonight, I love lamb sausages. Ham, milk, eggs, prosciutto, bacon, Greek yogurt’s, mustard, pickle, cheese, shortcrust ready rolled for a particular recipe with the prosciutto, pickle and cheese. Mushrooms. Cider for Sundays chicken lunch, oats, baked beans and 2 x washing liquid which was on offer @ £8 for 945ml. Supposed to do 70 washes. We shall see.
Brings my April total to £197.11 plus bulkWill add this on to the annual spending

@Suffolk_lass - How do you use the shredded wheat with the cat and dog? Dry or mixed with their food? Thank you.

Good afternoon All
Just one shop to declare. DH (aka the Chocolate Monster) went to L!dl on his way home on Monday, to collect our “free” 100g chocolate bar. He looked at the app before he went into the shop, noticed they had offers on dried ham and frozen mixed berries, so thoughtfully picked those up too, as well as some treats. £11.70 spent in total.
This brings our GC spend to £108.70/£180 leaving £71.30 for the rest of the month.

I crumble two (bitesize) in the dish for the cat, then add the slimy-textured renal diet. She doesn't really like the renal diet but will eat it with a bit more texture. It has stabilised her. No longer getting thinner by the day and as an indoor girl, I can say with some confidence that toilet function is better and a lot less stinky. She still warrants her name of Stealth Cat as she silently steals cold water (ours in glasses are her fave, but dog's bowl if she is goading him.
The dog has 3, also crumbled, plus half a scoop of a-gland supplement and 30g of dry food pellets and then I add warm water. He is kept at 6k or under for his breed. They are both fed twice a day (his has no a-gland supplement in the evening). The vet approved it. More natural than many dog and cat diets.

£50 spent between Aldi and Tesco's this week.
Not sure if it was a late delivery but slightly worrying that most of the pumps were without petrol today. Still we managed to get what we needed.

700/600 4th shop of month. I am finding it hard to stay in budget so will go and stand in the corner of the room with my face to the wall. Other than that though life is good.

Ha I feel like that as well but that's why we are here!
My spending on groceries has definitely slowed down (and fridge and freezer less full).
Son had random dinner last night of Yorkshire puddings and pancakes from the freezer (made a few weeks ago when I got a surplus of egg whites from community pantry) plus a vegi curry that was for tea yesterday, so we're definitely in the use up part of the month!
Spending today - riverford £28.85, sainsburys £46.14 plus mini shop in the week of £3.
Total this week £77.99 so £493.98 spent from £620.
