What is the cheapest PAYG/SIM monthly contract 1Gb max

Have a carer who is under 30 driving my motability car for me now and then when I can't drive. Due to his age a drive smart tracking device will be fitted to the car. Need to download an app and connect to it whenever I drive. Have a spare phone which is compatible to the app so I need a cheap PAYG or SIM monthly contract with data for the phone. I don't think it will use more than 1Gb a month. Any advice? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Just one question first. Why do you need to use a spare phone? Is this for when the carer will use the car but you won't be with them?

It's when I drive the car. Carer's phone is compatible with the app. Mine isn't.

If you only need the data, just get a Lebara MSE deal (other providers are available) and ditch it after the initial discounted period - rinse and repeat!

First, check which network(s) you get a good signal on where you'll be driving.

IF you get a good EE signal then an RWG Teaser bundle @ £2 per month will give 100 mins, 100 texts and 750MB per month. If you need nearer the 1GB then NowMobile have a 1GB SIM at £2.50 p.m. also with 100 mins and 100 texts. RWG uses NowMobile services which are on EE's network.

Motability state on their website that if you have difficulty with a smart phone it may be possible to have a black box fitted to the vehicle instead.
It might be worth speaking to them about getting one of these, especially if the car is driven by a number of different carers.
