Does anybody have experience of a TUI package holiday using another carrier ?

Ryanair do allow 23kg luggage on flights, however I suspect it'll be more costly than the TUI or Jet2 equivalent deals.

TUI appears to vary from 20kg to 23kg per passenger depending on the package booked.

Our local travel agent advised me that any TUI packages using Ryanair require the customer do all the administrative elements of the flight with Ryanair.

I can see why potential passengers are reluctant to go with Von Leary's Express !!!

Our TUI holiday to Turkey last October utilised SunExpress as the air carrier.

Prior May trip with them was using Titan Airways.

No problems.

I spoke with our local travel agent who advises that Ryanair will not allow them to action the administrative details of a package with TUI - the customer has to do all such aspects online direct with Ryanair………..no thanks.

What are these administrative tasks you wish to avoid? The only major difference is that you must online check-in with Ryanair in advance whereas with TUI you can leave it to the airport if you wish.

My visit to our travel agent to book a package holiday is what I consider should be the limit of my hands on experience - except for the unavoidable settling of payments which is very straighforward.
