Don't know whether to bite the bullet and order oil soon, we don't really need it and have enough to last us through the summer, but considering do we accept the higher prices now rather than risk waiting for the summer and possibly higher costs nearer the winter when we do need it?

We won't be eligible for any help from the government, and can afford the higher costs now but not really what I'd want to be spending £750+ on.

    Having issues posting,

I know no one has a crystal ball, just curious what others are doing.

    Many thanks

I was lucky and by chance ordered so it was delivered the day before. If I hadn't I would have sat it out but that's me and others might feel pressured into buying.

Exactly the same situation here. I'm planning to wait it out and hope it doesn't become a "hindsight" regret.

    Same as @GrumpyDil for us.

Plenty in the tank to see us through now well into summer.

But if we were getting to the point of considering re-ordering (I usually do this when the 2500 litre tank is about half full), then I think I would be sitting tight right now.

My gut feel is that global pressure is surely going to keep ramping up against the USA & Israel and this will force some form of de-escalation.

And I think Trump is going to be feeling increased heat domestically once the full extent of the spending and impact the war is having on the USA economy starts to sink in across most of the population.

But who knows. If the supply of oil and gas continues to be compromised, then heating oil could well be the least of our problems!!
