Gladstones/Minster Baywatch: Judgment was obtained electronically via Money Claims Online

"Could it be they went straight to MCOL, which a default judgement was passed?".
Nope. A claim form had to be posted to you.
Sounds like they sent a Claim in February to your old address, despite having your new address in January.
Can you get to your old address this week to retrieve it & ascertain if I'm right? Do that first. DO NOT RING GLADSTONES.

We have been trying to contact the new owner of our old house but she's not responding. We will try again. Assuming we can somehow get the letters from our old address, is there anything we can tell Gladstones since they sent it to an old address despite acknowledging our new address in Jan?
Does this mean we now have a CCJ? I checked on Trustonline (with our current address, or should we also use the old address?) and there's nothing found yet. However, our credit score has gone from 1000 to 800 this month!

Ring the CNBC, as advised already.
Get ALL the info including which address was used and ask the CNBC to email you a copy of the Particulars.
Do not ask for 'the claim form'. They can't do that. You want the POC.
Do that today, now. I will send you a pm.
I have an idea that usually works and doesn't result in a CCJ nor you paying the Claim.

Hi
I've just checked via trustonline with the case number and it says the date of judgement was 9 march, and it was addressed to previous address. When do you think the case or court docs were sent - would they have been after 11 Jan, that was when they acknowledged the change of address?

As above, ascertain all the facts first, as I mentioned earlier
You cannot move forward until you have all the facts and information
No point speculating until the facts are known

Yes I think so. Likely early February.
Did you ring the CNBC?
Try at 8am tomorrow to beat the queue.
Did you read my pm?

Hi
Claimaint is Minster Baywatch Ltd
Date of judgment: 9 March 2026
Particulars: The driver of motor vehicle registration XXXX (the Vehicle) parked in breach of the prominently displayed terms and conditions of parking set out on the signage at Driffield Cranwell Road on 23/11/2024.
The signage constituted an offer of a unilateral contract, accepted by the act of parking, under which the driver agreed to pay the specified parking charge (the PCN) in the event of breach.
The PCN remains unpaid after 28 days and the Defendant, as driver and/or registered keeper, is liable for the outstanding sum. Despite demands, the Defendant has failed to make payment.
The Claimant therefore claims £100 for the PCN, £55.00 contractual costs pursuant to the Contract and PCN terms and conditions, together with statutory interest of £7.48 pursuant to s69 of the County Courts Act 1984 at 8% per annum, accruing at £0.03 per day until judgment or earlier payment.

The claim form (is this the same as N1SDT?) was issued 23/12/2025, sent to my previous address so I have never received it. This means this was sent before 11 Jan, the date they acknowledged the change of address.
Is it too late to challenge this? Or do I have to pay to prevent a CCJ?
For the parking offence, we did pay but we entered the wrong reg - we entered the reg of our old car when we were driving a new car.

BTW these were the info sent to me by Gladstones/Trustonline search - we rang CNBC but got cut off twice after waiting for 45 mins each time. Is there any additional required that I need to ring CNBC for?

No. See my pm. Use the help on offer.
But are you sure there aren't two PCNs?
You said you got this on 26th Jan which makes it clear no claim had been issued for that PCN ref:
"Please note that your address has been updated accordingly. Please find attached the Evidence Pack which we trust to be self-explanatory.
Our Client is therefore satisfied the case against you should proceed unless the debt owing of £170.00 is discharged in full. To ensure no further action is taken, you should make payment on or before 6th February 2026.
If you do not make payment, we are instructed to issue legal proceedings to recover the outstanding balance in full. Should it become necessary to issue legal proceedings, we suggest you follow the steps on the claim form upon receipt of the same."
