Prepaid cards for a charity

Hi

For years our charity has been using two Equals prepaid cards to purchase stuff abroad. We used Equals because they waived the fees for charities. Today they have ceased the waiver and will charge £25 per month.

So please advise me on an alternative company which can provide two prepaid cards without such a huge fee. A small fee would be OK.

I checked out Revolut but their website is a bit perplexing with so many options. Could we get two cards on their free Personal account ?

Are you personally the charity? Charities would normally require what is basically a business account. The only way of using a personal account would be if you paid for things yourself and then expense it to the charity. If its travel/subsistence then this is likely fine but if you are buying things for the charity then this can introduce other issues.

Are the two cards for the same person or an unrelated person? If you are using a personal account to have another name on a debit card you are basically talking about a joint account and so ties your histories. With credit card the issue is the primary account holder is liable for all debts the secondary runs up so if they go rogue they could be left carrying the can as the charity wouldnt be obliged to reimburse.
