Laser Printer sub £50 with free cartridge

OK. I did some detective work and rang up Canon who gave me another number to ring. That turned out to be a private company who run promotions on behalf of Canon but said they weren't responsible for this one. But they gave me a number for a company that they believe did run it, who are closed at the mo, will try again tomorow.

Bought one of the Canon LBP 2900i printers today in PC World, and will be sending my claim form and receipt tomorrow. It says on the claim form that it could take upto 45 days, so don't panic. Also says on the box closing date for claims is the 31st March and to be received by the 30th April.

That last number looks promising - Rugby dialling code and that's where my free toner cartridge arrived from. Good luck!
PS - when sending off your receipts, slap a recorded delivery label on the envelope (it's freepost, so won't cost you anything!) Then at least you know they've received it ok...

I rang back (the last number I posted) and they checked and said that they had no record of receiving my claim form!!!

Fortunately, the lady I spoke to was a very nice person and said she believed me when I said I'd sent it and would get onto Canon to see if she could still send it out to me on that basis. She said she would ring back.

She rang back today and said she would have it sent out today for delivery tomorrow!!

Overall, a bit of a headache. But good to know there are people out there as wonderful as that lady I spoke to.
