I couldn't find any option to set up a Standing Order on the iPhone app. You can view and cancel them, but if there is a way to set up a new one it's well hidden.
You can set up a future-dated one-off payment, and your trick of entering the amount last works for that.

Where can I find confirmation of my request to switch? I completed my application for the current account on 18th March and requested to switch in from another account. I don't remember the exact date I requested but wanted it to happen as soon as possible. The earliest available date was around mid April, but so far I've had no communication from them.
