Need some legal/smart advice about certain situations in a seperation where I am being bullied/setup
Hello
Just need some friendly advice please as my soon to be ex wife is bullying me and baiting me very clearly and threatening me with things, and with her mum saying she will constantly call the police certain things (essentially lying about it when I just talk normally and manipulate things)
Anyway
- is it legal to me to buy a vlogging camara and wear it in my house and record things? What if they say they dont want to be recorded? I want to do it for my own evidence and protection as her mum has threatened to call the police for "harassment" when I literally stand in my bedroom and talk.......
- Can I stop her mum coming into my house, and under what grounds? Can I say I will call the police if I dont want her there?
- Somebody has removed me from access of all the ring doorbells which I pay for and on my account, and also moved all my clothes out of my room into a different room. She is also trying to literally ban me entering my own bedroom in my own house. Is that allowed?
- If we have a monthly payed car from ford, in my name and im main insurance person, can I fully transfer it to me and then stop using it or does that go against me (I assume I cannot do that just asking)
- Is there a way or any services I can report them to for making me feel abused or threatened or any action i can take?
- If I leave the house and stay elsewhere, what happens if I do it voluntarily?
I feel very strongly with everything I have done and notes I have taken they are setting me up here, and purposefully baiting me into doing something to call the police for "harassment" or something
Thanks

1, yes you can record whatever you want but don't record them going the loo, getting undressed etc.
2. Yes you can stop anyone entering your home if you do not want them there BUT if your wife equally owns the home she can invite them in.
3. It's your home you have equal access to all of it regardless. Cancel your payment method for ring if you pay for that.
4. are you alone still paying for the car? If so just remove her from the insurance and move it elsewhere or return or sell it.
5. report any bullying, coercive and controlling behaviour to the police, some of your issues are civil matters so focus on the controlling bullying behaviour.6. If you leave the home it's still your property and she can't deny you entry but again police won't get involved in that as it's a civil matter. If she also jointly owns it you will need to go to Court to force a sale.

Usually the advice is to stay put as you can lose a lot of rights if you move out - however, yours may be an exception to the rule.
Do you have somewhere you can go ?
Do you have children ?
Do you rent or have a mortgage ?
Do you both work, what are you finances like, who pays for what ?
You say soon to be ex - what’s happening to the house in the divorce/financial settlement - are the details done and just waiting sign off ?
Sadly the police and court systems treat females much more favourably in disputes/breakups than males, so you may be better in the long run for your own sanity and safety to get out asap
Just to add - if you have any personal valuables/documents or anything you consider of worth (real or sentimental) - get it out NOW and somewhere safe
If you have any joint accounts - I would also suggest removing half as well (unless divorce states otherwise). Ensure you keep good documentation of before and after

There is some more background with this in this thread.
I still echo the advice to get some proper legal assistance with this

no I am not alone paying for the car as it comes out of a joint bank account (although I earn 90% of everything that does not matter in these situations)

Hi
- nowhere to go apart from mums far away and not long term as she is sick
- yes 2 children
- mortgage
- i want to sell house and have offered 70%, she is refusing and has said even if a mediator or solicitor refuses she will still take it to court…. she is using the "kids wont be stable I cannot afford to rent" thing….
I do not really have anything valuable
If I remove half of the money does that not go against me? I got told that they will look very badly on that and on me doing that
I called 101 and made a police report as I feel they are harrasing and threatening me

”I got told.” Who by? Because if it’s them, it’s hardly a reliable source.
This has to be pretty awful for your kids to witness. Is how, this situation is being dealt with something both you and your wife need to consider a little bit further, to minimise the impact on them?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
Who is the legal owner of the car, and who is the registered keeper of it? What sort of car loan is it (eg, loan, HP, PCP)?
1 -
i am the keeper and insurance but its a monthly finance from ford and we give back after (pcp)

Some of your posts suggest that you feel you are in a controlling and abusive relationship with your ex. There is support out there for people, including men, in abusive domestic relationships.
