pcm notice

I am writing on behalf of my elderly disabled sister who at the weekend received a parking notice from pcm. She was parked in one of about five disabled bays. She got in her car and just left the bay when her phone started to ring so she pulled over to another area where she took the call when she looked up a man in hi vis was walking past her, obviously he's snapped her. The land is used by Morrisons for deliveries and flats above shops and council bins are there. Morrisons are saying they do not own the land and the council are saying they don't own it either. I am trying to sort it out for her but I haven't got a clue what to do. I would be most grateful for any advice .T.I.A

What reason do PCM give for the pcn?

What is the name of the car park

Have a read of the NEWBIES Announcement thread pinned at the top of page 1

"Morrisons are saying they do not own the land and the council are saying they don't own it either."

They don't. Neither of those use PCM so the land is owned by some third party who has contracted ex-clampers to trick and intimidate motorists.

Your sister must ignore it and the £170 threatograms.

If she's not up to that, appeal (obviously in her name) and change her postal address to yours and give your email address 'as if it's hers'. Then you ignore the letters for her and come back here if a LBC arrives.

See post 2 of the NEWBIES thread.

Ignore the £170 threatograms and pleeeease don't show those to us later on. They are already in pictures in the 4th post of the NEWBIES FAQS thread.

Thanks for responses, the reason for giving the notice is ,Parked outside of the confines of a marked bay. The terms and conditions for the use of the land at Morrisons are clearly stipulated by signage posted throughout the area. Sorry I have read so much it feels like a minefield, is there a link you could put here for me to copy a template at all. Thankyou

She won't be wasting any time pointlessly appealing and you don't need a template.

She's ignoring PCM - like I said - but if she's likely to worry about £170 red ink threatograms and get duped into thinking it's a fine (which it is not) appeal once in her name like I said but only to state her address for service has changed to (your full address).

Then you cheerfully laugh at the letters.

    🙂

Thanks coupon-mad, can I just verify that we do not appeal to it and we ignore the parking notice and the £170 threatograms?. Its just that i have read on here don't pay but don't ignore. I remember some years ago i parked on white line in bay and was advised to wait 14 days then sent a template from here which was successful.

There is no fair appeal with PCM.

    Read this:

They are in the other trade body, the IPC which only has a non-impartial farce enabling the IPC's paying members to carry on ripping off consumers. The IAS mimicks an appeals service, is IMHO unfit, lacking impartiality & undeserving of consumer confidence and pulled the wool over the CTSI, in our view.

Are you saying she is robust enough to receive red lettering 'scary' £170 threatograms and cheerfully ignore them (but she knows NOT to ignore a Claim Form)?

    If so, do nothing.

She said she has had sleepless nights about it and was going to pay it but I have assured her the people on here know what they are talking about and how to deal with it. Sorry for my ignorance but what is a claim form, and is that when I come back for more advice on what to do next?

Study the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad, followed by studying the first 2 posts in the defence template thread in announcements, in order to understand the Money Claim system

She doesn't sound robust enough to withstand the scary £170 threatograms.

I would get her to give your address for service, saying she is disabled and asking them to cancel the PCN and/or update the address.

    Obviously NOT by phone!
