I don’t have solar/batteries. Usage is a little under average. I just prefer to run a debit balance and pay the minimum required.

Octopus have not as yet on some tariffs.
Says this in my account.
Need to know: the UK Government is reducing energy costs in April. We'll update your tariff rates on the 1st of April so you can start benefitting from cheaper bills straight away.

They based on predicted annual cost which I assume includes future months if not at end of year.
If this is something you dont like then there is variable DD, I dont like the fixed DD system so I dont use it.1 -
Octopus do state on their dashboard though its being passed on, they just havent confirmed the rate for those bad at maths.

The uncertainty is mostly for those on a variable tariff as the rate may also have changed so it isn't just a matter of deducting 3.5p…
IOG variable is not dropping by the full 3.5p for example (Yorkshire) …

Yep I mentioned this in a reply to QrizB post last night, the suppliers could be doing this much quicker, but Octopus will be passing on the discount that part isnt a question, its just what the final rate will be.

Email came out 24 March for IOG customers. Was posted in another thread. 👍

If the DD is based on a monthly average over a year then most likely there will be no reductions because come July there will be a much bigger rise than the April reduction, so I suspect the likes of BG will be hiking things in their usual exaggerated manner just to make sure their customers don't get into debt; all heart, these folk!

There will be octopus fixers (Feb V6) with 11 months left to run who will likely save, unless doomsday is upon us next march (not taking bets)
