Any Issues with a Smart Meter from Octopus?

Octopus arranged the installation of my smart meters. They give no trouble. I pay by variable direct debit which works well. Because of the smart meters I have been able to save hundreds of pounds on smart tariffs.

Mine is fine , worked from day one, accurate billing on three different tariffs over five years (econ 7/octopus go/price cap)..mines a Landis grey grE470…in Kent

Mine was installed by BG and taken over by Octopus who have billed accurately and taken the correct variable DD. My communications unit failed and I was able to take manual readings until it was replaced by Octopus, once you get the right guy on the phone it was done quickly, although I rather enjoyed winding up the AI bot via email which rather elongated the timescale. I was on Agile TOU tariff and had no problems either, though now on a fix to avoid the wild energy price ride. There is a timelag of about 15 days from when they work out the bill until they take the money out of your bank account and another few days before it is shown in your Octopus account balance.

I've got a Kaifa MA120 fitted by Octopus. Has worked perfectly for several years.

Same here, Kalifa something, installed by Octopus 3 years ago with support for E7. Has been working perfectly ever since. I've learnt a lot about my electricity consumption and explored many ToU tarriffs since savings hundreds of pounds.

The Gas one as failed a couple of times and took Octopus a while to get them changed after I chased.

Kaifa meter here as well. It did have a glitch which Octopus could have fixed quicker if the issue had been passed to someone who actually knows about smart meters. Something to do certificates or something.
Never ever problems with billing on variable DD.

I've got a Kaifa MA120 fitted by Octopus. I have an ongoing dispute with them about a non-working IHD and my smart meter not showing live readings on their website since they broke it. Nearly time to take it to the Ombudsman. Variable billing OK.

Have you asked for a Home Mini? That should give you live data on your phone or computer.

The Mini is the only way you'll see live data in your Octopus account.
