Tesco Fruit and Fibre Cereal broken tooth

That seems premature unless you had actually attempted to make the claim already (and haven't told us about it).

This happened four days ago, and you went to the dentist three days ago (with a weekend occupying much of that window), and you've already leapt to a legal claim?
That isn't going to be viewed favourably by the court, given the expectation of pre-action protocol, such as Letter Before Claim giving at least 14 days, etc…

How much are you claiming for?
What proof do you have that it was the cereal that caused the broken tooth?

I fear you've wasted that £100. I don't know about NI but in England the usual practice is to send a letter before action setting out the nature of the problem, the resolution you want and a reasonable timescale for the other party to resolve it.
Spending £100 on a court claim before you've done any of that is probably just a waste of time and money.

A small claims court fee paid and itsnot even a week?!
Oh dear.

Absolute madness.
You had no evidence whatsoever and neither Tesco nor the courts will just take your word for it.
A waste of £100.

I've spoken to them on the phone and I've sent an email making them aware about legal action, they responded straight away to that email in an unsatisfactory manner. They have been fully informed, I have set out my case and we shall see what happens.

How have you determined the value of your claim if there will be further work required in future? I assume your court fee was £108 which is appropriate for a claim of £500-£1000.

I laid that information out in the email 'letter before claim' and in the claim description. I believe that damages to a molar tooth are limited to that £500-£1000 range. Tesco informed me they would test the box and went back on that promise after I handed it over to them. They have made it fully clear that they don't want to know.
I have dental checks every six months and I've never made any legal claims before or ever been involved with the courts. I take on board the negative comments but I refuse to accept that I'm getting dental treatment because of their product and they don't give a !!!!!!.
