Sorry, you're right that zigbee can use 2.4 GHz as well, though it usually uses different channels than wi-fi and only a narrow bandwidth so there's not usually a problem. But you said that your home mini couldn't connect to the comms hub, which uses a zigbee connection not a wi-fi one. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with using the same SSID for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wi-fi. In fact it is recommended to enable devices to choose the best signal automatically.

Thanks, whats happening is it goes off if I turn off the screen with power button, but I might walk by it 10 minutes later and LED is back on, its a shame they couldnt implement a simple setting for it. If they had to make a FAQ page for it, then that indicates there is enough warrant to make a very simple coding change. I do have some LED blackout tape somewhere its shaped in small strips for things like this, knowing me I have probably lost it though.

You could email them and suggest making that change. They seem to be fairly responsive. And yes, I've used electrical tape to cover LEDs before now 😯
