Aldemore Reward (for staying)

Hi, I have a 2 year fixed ISA maturing with Aldemore later this month (taken out at 4.55% in 2024). I have received an email from Aldemore stating this maturity, and if I log-in and check maturity instructions I will get a preferential deal/rate if I renew the ISA with them for a further term. Oh great I thought, may get a better rate, anyway I logged in and low and behold the rates I'm being offered are identical to any other customers and same as those advertised on their current website. Can they get away with this? It would appear there are no preferential rates available, just appears they are doing whatever it takes for me to renew if if it means telling little white lies. Anyone else come across this tactic.

I would message them asking why there is no preferential rate, when the e mail specifically says that there would be one.

Ok, will do just that. It’s a fairly big ISA so trying to get as close to the 4.55% interest Im currently getting. Thanks for reply.

I guess they previously offered existing customers a worse rate for fixing again, so are trying to dress this up as some kind of win for you.

Essentially your reward is that they're not going shaft you.

Hi, thanks for replies. Here is the wording from the email :

    Benefits:

That doesn’t look like a special link to me as it just takes you to their home page from what I can see Anyway will fire off an email and see what their response is.
