Transferring Child Trust Fund
Hi,
I want to transfer my son’s child trust fund into a junior stocks and shares isa. I’ve been told by Fidelity I can’t do that and that none of the others will let me as it has to be like for like. They’ve said that I can hire a financial advisor to do it for me. Is that the only way?
Thanks.

@marcia thanks for your reply. Don’t must be all these bigger investment companies that won’t do it. How are you finding the Coventry one?

yes it might be because its an investment account whilst my son was just a hsbc ctf.
Coventry have been good, better interest than hsbc i could do better but im not good at doing all that2026 wins - Parker Pen, American Sweets bundle, dish magic bundle

Fidelity will not accept a transfer of a CTF (either kind) to their stocks and shares JISA but presumably would accept a transfer of a cash JISA to their stocks and shares JISA?
Coventry only offers a Cash JISA - once the transfer of the CTF to Coventry Jisa was complete, it would be possible to transfer on to Fidelity?
