This seems like quite a good card on the face of it anyone else got any opinions. 0% for 9 months on purchases and BT's. No BT's fees either

Yes, the card is quite nice, matt black in appearance.

The only drawback I have experienced is the lack of a web site to enable easy maintenance of the card. Instead, you have to go through a fairly lengthy call centre process, with staff who are willing and able, but it just seems to take forever (compared to say Virgin).

If someone knows about a website for this card, then please let me know!

Seems pretty good to me - squeezed £9k out of them.
Only two slight things against them are:
    1. No online servicing
    2. Card took long time to arrive and I was told that balance transfer was just inside the 30days fee free period.

Another thing to beware of is that M&S are reportedly sending all your card data to India and that's where their card call centre will be based.

The direct number for their Chester HQ is 01244 879080. Sales are conducted by UK personel but any problems or queries and your directed to India.

Just got this card and so far, I'm not too impressed.

    - Slow in getting the card out.
    - Poor customer service staff.
    - Low credit limit. I had to ask for an increase before I would even activate the card. I wasn't told my limit until the card arrived.

In the letters which arrived before my card, they state that it is the only card I will ever need and could cancel all my other cards as I now had the M&S card! Huh, no chance with their initial credit limit.

(They did increase it by the way)

Admittedly initial limit was only £3.5k. Customer Services, India agreed to raise to £5.5k. Chester wanted to keep me at this limit but eventually upped to £8k. At the same time, letter was in the post with bank statements etc and this lead to further £1k increase to give £9k.
Not sure that many cards advise on limit before receipt of card.

Don't forget that, at 3%, the minimum payment is one of the highest around (speaking as a stoozer!)

That is the normal thing with credit cards. Frustrating, though

Normal? I've found out my credit limits before I received the cards on Egg, Virgin, IF, & LloydsTSB. In fact, on all 4 of my stoozing card suppliers.

Having said that, Mrs YB had to wait on both M&S & Capital One.

I don't know if this is of any help to anyone but I have this morning recieved my credit card agreement thats within 3 days of applying which isn't bad in my opinion. I have just phoned to try and establish what my credit limit will be and they can't tell me which I am not too happy about. However, I have got a freephone!!! telephone number and I have managed to speak to someone who I assume is in the UK!!! 0800 997996 - no press 1 press 2 lark either.

    Hope this helps!
