If that is counted as a 'Private back garden', then I object to the houses that are being built in my 'Private back garden'. 🤨
The first photo is just zoomed in from the garden to make it look like it's nearer than it is to the property.

filled in objection form on open reach web site says should hear back within 3 working days so will update then. Look at picture no2 my neighbour has a small fence showing boundary my boundary matches this, we had intended to landscape there later this year that pole is right in the centre. Since picture they have managed to install a wire onto the pole without me seeing them doing it. My property is in a large housing estate not rural.

As someone else pointed out, you need to put a note on the pole telling them not to put any more wires up.

Could we turn this into a spot the ball type competion where we mark X where we think pole will be re-sited too?

If its Openreach, they need to get your permission unless of course they already have it historically. If it was one of their contractors, they tend to not give a !!!!!! as they are paid by the hour and just get stuff done as quick as possible then leave.
If its on your land ask them as the big house next to my parents bungalow has a big phone pole in the garden. But they get money from Openreach for it staying there as would cost Openreach too much to move it.
