Refund error

Going to speak with the company that refunded tomorrow if it clears. If they take the money back will speak with my bank and explain what’s happened. Hopefully they won’t add interest.

Halifax certainly offer both balance transfer & money transfers on currently held cards.

I get regular offers on several existing credit cards.

There used to be a thread here about the Barclaycard offers, but I've just had the best ones I've had on an existing card for a long time. 24 months 0% BT for a 2.9% fee and 21 months MT for the same 2.9% fee.

As others have stated current credit cards often offer balance/money transfer deals on an ongoing basis.

The trick is to make sure the card is completely cleared before you make any transfer to it and never spend on it whilst the balance transfer is in situ.

Yes. That’s what I was doing. Unfortunately this refund may have messed it up. Still hasn’t cleared yet.

Bit odd as refunds do not require authorisation & should credit next day from a retailer.

I would be speaking to bank about it.

So the correct refund has cleared a few days ago but the incorrect one is still pending. I spoke to the vendor. They chatted to accounts and accounts said they spotted the error at the time so cancelled it and redid it correctly. Not sure if it’s cancelled why it’s stuck pending. It’s even been deducted from balance so it looks like I owe less money now. I think I will call the credit card company to tomorrow.
