Involuntary denied boarding on etihad
would like to know if anyone else has experienced this. I was bumped from flight in Abu Dhabi to Manchester , I have tried to claim compensation as online it said I was entitled to €600. Etihad refused as said they are not regulated . Tried sky refund, and air help they both says the flight was not eligible for compensation. Tried ADR and CEDR and both don’t have etihad on drop down menu. I can’t see anything else I can try and just wanted to see if anyone had been successful in getting compensation in a similar circumstance. I’m not out of pocket as etihad did put me in next flight , 12 hours later.

The UK/EU flight delay/cancellation regulations offer compensation for denial of boarding, but don't apply to flights on non-UK/EU airlines departing from non-UK/EU airports, so you'd instead be reliant on whatever Etihad's policy is or what the UAE aviation regulator's stance is, unless you can make a case under the Montreal Convention.

The airline and the two claims firms you tried are correct. Whoever told you that €600 is due was wrong.

If you really want some money, have you checked your travel insurance? Mine pays out a set sum for delays beyond a certain duration.
