I would suggest whoever you re-mortgage to be a mainstream lender that you can renew with to save on this next time. I am with nationwide and to renew my mortgage took a few clicks on the app - and that includes reducing term. Its a joint mortgage too and the other half had nothing at all to do with it, bar me verbally asking her if she was happy with it.

Yeah this time it is a big/mainstream lender, so hopefully next time around the rates are less of a rip off than anyone else and I'll be happy to side step all this absolute nonsense.
