    Hi
This happened to me last October with Sky

Sky emailed Unfortunately we're unable to proceed with your recent Sky Mobile order.

Eventually I found out what the problem was, they could not confirm my identity

Credit address etc all ok but they needed physical proof that it was me applying.

The credit check requires your photo and address confirmation It also uses your device location

AS proof of my id was not on my credit record Sky rejected my order with no explanation

I had to submit a copy of driving licence together (both sides inc photo) which together with my device location satisfied their credit validation

This is an extract from an email I received when delving deeper into the rejection

Email Subject line Equifax would like to confirm your identity - HooYu

HooYu is an identity confirmation tool used by leading banks such as NatWest and top online gambling sites like Betfred. When you open an account with a bank or an online gambling site, government regulations mean that they have to verify your identity before they can accept you as a customer. This is an important process to keep customers safe by detecting fraud, preventing money laundering and performing age verification checks.

    Hope this helps

Technically they're still contracts, but for the rest I suspect it'll be the people who think they need the latest iPhone or Galaxy phone or at least to "upgrade" their phone every 12/24 months.

I just spend up to £200 every 4 years or so to keep up with the Android version.
