BeFibre and One Touch Switching Fiasco

Hi,

In early February 2026 I set up a broadband provider move from Vodafone to BeFibre. The installation date was agreed as the 16th March 2026 when my Vodafone contract was up.

Vodafone automatically received the switching order and everything appeared to be progressing well.

On the 24th February, I received a simple text from BeFibre stating that they'd migrated accounts to a new system and had lost the ability to finalize the one touch switching process. They went on to advise me I'd have to sort out manual disconnection with my current provider Vodafone.

Feeling aggrieved at having to sort out BeFibre's technical problems and fearing the future with a company that can't even provide a smooth switching process, I cancelled the order with BeFibre, with the intention of staying with Vodafone.

The problem now. The switching order remains on my account. Vodafone can't set up a new contract and BeFibre seem powerless to remove the switch from the system.

I have now spent hours talking to both companies customer service departments with no resolution in sight. I'm sure it will resolve itself over time, but looks like it will cost me.

Has anyone else fallen foul of this recent BeFibre technical issue?

No, but there's a general response to hours talking to customer service.

Try emailing the company's CEO (you can usually find the person's address somewhere) and asking their senior team to look into matters.

Situation eventually resolved and I stayed with Vodafone. I probably had a lucky escape and discovered Vodafone's customer service had improved considerably since I last interacted with them.

For anybody considering BeFibre, their customer service and communication is atrocious. If your up and running with them, I'm sure their broadband infrastructure is fine. However, when problems occur they're very frustrating to say the least.

Did you come across any problems seeing what you were actually buying with BeFibre?

I tried to find out what the package included but I'd have to arrange connection first! I tried to find out what the router was and any details about it but I'd have to arrange connection first!

All seems a bit un-informative and I'd have to arrange connection first!
