It was only an illustration, lots of their processes were archaic and involved pieces of paper being posted around the country when others it was an online or phone process.
Now maybe, wasnt at the time, they are just way behind the curve but they are on the curve at least.

What is it that you can't do with their online banking, or do you mean you need the app to get into HSBCs online banking?
Nationwide are the dinosaur of the banking world and are hopelessly old fashioned, but if you just want online banking and not app banking then they might suit you.
