For paragraph 3, use the standard paragraph 3 refuting the POC, the one denying any contravention, as seen in other recent ECP DCB LEGAL cases on here, changing the sum from £170 to £160

    2. The allegation(s) are vague and liability is denied for the sum claimed, or at all. The delay in bringing proceedings lies with the Claimant, making retrieving material evidence difficult, which is highly prejudicial. The Defendant has little knowledge of events, save as set out below and to admit that they were the registered keeper.

    3. Referring to the POC: paragraph 1 is denied. The Defendant is not indebted to the Claimant. Paragraph 2 is denied. No PCN was issued on 17/09/2023 (the date of the alleged visit). The Defendant is not liable and has seen no evidence of a breach of prominent terms.  The quantum is hugely exaggerated (no PCN can be £160 on private land) and there were no damages incurred whatsoever. The Claimant is put to strict proof of all of their allegations.

No, i said contravention, not Issued, they have not used the word ISSUED for 14 months , which is why I said recent

What is the date of issue of the claim form? If you post that we can give you some deadlines.

@Le_Kirk The claim form was issued on 30/03/2026, in relation to the alleged contravention on 17/09/2023.

@Gr1pr what should I put for paragraph 3?

    Thank you both!

With an issue date of 30/03/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 04/04/26 and before or on 18/04/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 05/05/26

It is likely that you are misreading a lower case L (l) for an upper case (i) I or the reverse, sometimes it is a zero and the letter "o" that is confused.

    @Le_Kirk thanks.

I completed and submitted the AoS on 09/04/26 and got back in now.

Am I ok to submit the above for paragraph 2/3 with the rest of the standard template? I don't really have much to add. No recollection of anything.

No because this is incorrect. You copied from an old version, as already advised:

"No PCN was issued on 17/09/2023 (the date of the alleged visit)"

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I couldn't find another version that wasn't too specific.

    I changed it to:

    3. No contravention occurred on on 17/09/2023 (the date of the alleged visit). The Defendant is not liable and has seen no evidence of a breach of prominent terms. The quantum is hugely exaggerated (no PCN can be £160 on private land) and there were no damages incurred whatsoever. The Claimant is put to strict proof of all of their allegations.

    Hopefully this is ok

No they aren't all specific. Nothing like! There are hundreds this year with similar generic wording but using the words 'it is denied that a contravention occurred on DATE'.

But yours looks fine. Do you have nothing to add? Did you ever appeal, do you know how long the alleged overstay was?

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
