Cheap secure week-stay car parks between Oxford and Manchester
Hi,
Soon to start working in Preston. Will live with friend in Manchester and get train each day.
Since i live in Ringwood i will have to drive to a car park in-between Oxford and Manchester, and then get the train to Manchester.
My car has a leak and cannot be trusted to get to Preston.
So the only secure cheap car park (ie <£50/week) i can find so far is East Midlands Parkway.
But are there any others more west than that?
Its incredibly difficult on the internet to find details of car parks and their week-stay costs. Some car parks are simply not secure….your car would be alone there at night and a target for robbers.

have a look on the JustPark app, lots of people are renting out a space on their driveway, you might find something more suitable

When you say your car has a leak, what sort of leak is it? Tyre? Water? Oil? Fuel? If you're driving the 200 miles between Ringwood and (for instance) East Midlands Parkway every week then any of those is likely to mean a breakdown at some point in the not too distant future. Rather then spending money on parking which is unlikely to be as secure as you'd like it would be better to spend it on repairing the fault so you can drive all the way to Manchester, where hopefully you can park near your friend's home.

Its an oil leak and ive had it for 2 years. I always drive with cabin heater and blower on full and window wide open to keep the engine cool to minimise the leaking and minimise any possible overheating. I suspect its a CAM head gasket leak, and this is in the region of £1000 to repair….i cant afford it.
It needs to be a proper car park, eg like the one at East Midlands Parkway.
There is a Rail car park at Stoke on trent but it costs well over £50/week.

You need a reliable vehicle for journeys like this and I think I would be minded to get rid of your car as it sounds a liability. Put it in an auction maybe …

Sorry but cannot afford new car. My car was £6995 new in 2019…today it is £13700…too much.
Ive looked int leasing but it seems you need additional GAP insurance.
