@StairLighting Just select "Latest Threads" from the box on the write and then scroll down to the thread. At the very bottom of this there is a "Leave Comment Box"

    We've combined the two threads.

(Keep in mind that as the thread was split from another thread, it won't show in the OP's own list of threads they started)

Sorry, I'm not particularly aware of the laws or working practices of Scotland. Could you explain to me the difference between your "Factor" and your "Factors" please.

As stated previously in this thread, you appear to be referring to a commercial electricity tariff. This site is primarily aimed at consumer finance matters.

But since you asked, I've seen some commercial tariffs apply standing charges as much as:

    £14.40 per day (Utilita)

    £29.50 per day (Yü Energy)

    £13.00 per day (YGP)

    £13,67 per day (Corona)

    £25.00 per day (United G&P)

    £10.52 per day (nPower)

    £28.81 per day (Shell)

Please note: These are all generally available commercial tariffs and do not include bespoke tariffs that are often considered commercially confidential arrangements. Not intended as an exhaustive list, nor to suggest there may not be even higher SC's charged on some electricity commercial tariffs.

Domestic/Residential tariffs usually have a maximum of about 70 p per day as per the Pants Cap (although suppliers are theoretically able to set any SC they wish; it's only their default tariff that is actually price capped)

Do not confuse any business names you see above with companies of a similar sounding name that have previously ceased trading.

sounds like you and other residents need to choose another factor. Put existing factor on notice. Poor service and no communication is unacceptable.

Could you get the communal lighting rewired into the ground floor flat and get an agreement written up that every other resident pays £x.xx (work out a rough cost, suggest £3) per month to the occupier of that flat to cover cost?

@Alnat1 There's a contract still with over 30 months to run - who is going to pay that ?
