Thank you Valli. Latest news from Spain is that Pops is still in hospital and will not be flying home tomorrow as originally planned. He's not in any pain, but admits that he doesn't feel well. Babs is staying out there. DB and DSil are preparing to fly out on Monday. And I'll be on cat feeding duty at this end.
I've been working my way through the Saturdailies and I'm showered, washed my hair, shaved, moisturised, and dressed in all clean clothes. I've brought down the laundry hamper, sorted washing into loads, and set first load swishing. I've put out the rubbish and recycling, and put new bin bags in the bins. Fresh towels and teatowels have been put out. I've fed the birds.
Having a coffee before I WUDUPA.

Lots of love and prayers for you and yours, round xx Keep calm and carry on! I hope the cat appreciates your visits.
MMM, I'm pleased to see that your lists are getting shorter!
I had another bad night (Rosie woke me up again just as I got back to sleep at 5am, grrr!) and then had to wait until this afternoon for my new cordless stick cleaner to be delivered. When it came I unpacked it carefully, put it all together and tried it out on the LR floor - it has done a good job picking up Rosie's fluff. I also registered the warranty.
I have also S&S'd the kitchen and bathroom, PUPA in the LR, DR and my bedroom, and done bits of financial admin so that I am all ready for the shiny new month starting tomorrow. What with the car repair, kitchen tap replacement and now the hoover, I have spent a lot of money this month, so it's a good job I don't pay Council Tax in February or March.
Off to cook Saturday Night Risotto now.

Hope things are improving with Pops Round, and fingers crossed that it's good news with your own health too. Sending love.
The theatre was interesting yesterday. I struggled to understand the story and started to fall asleep. This is the second time this has happened to me and it's so annoying, I literally couldn't keep my eyes open!! DH loved it and it was his birthday treat so that was good.

Morning all xx
Thank you for all you hugs, prayers and best wishes. I really appreciate your support ❤
My afternoon and evening were punctuated by calls from DB. A litany of pessimistic news. Meanwhile my thinking is while there's life there's hope. So I'm hoping for the best while preparing for the worst. And encouraging DS to do the same.
I did hyperventilate when my phone rang at 3 am though. 😱. False alarm. A Saudi Arabia number. Which sent me down any number of rabbit holes wondering if Pops was with me (he speaks Arabic!). Talked to Pops (in my head) and prayed until I eventually went back to sleep.
I'm up and dressed. I've put away yesterday's pots that were LTD, fed the birds, and put out the recycling. WM is swishing towels and tea towels. I've done a laundry shuffle.
Yesterday evening I went to pick up my repeat prescription, which has been a trial for the past three months due to a national shortage. Yep. Out of stock. So i asked can you please give me double the number of tablets at half the dose. No. But you have for the last three months and I run out tomorrow. No. Pleeeease. She asked the pharmacist and he agreed to dispense the alternative. I could have hugged her. I could see the end of my tether looming. Then armed with my drugs I felt able to fill up with diesel. So that's another job done.
I'm going over to J's for lunch. She's making a veggie curry nom nom. Then I'll call at DB's to pick up the key ready for my cat feeding duty. There are two cats, iona: Poppy and Rosie.
Love to all.

Once again, sorry for not contributing much this week.
I'm sorry to hear Pops is unwell in Benidorm again Round. I hope he is well enough to fly home very soon so you can keep an eye on him. Upsetting that he's not well while you're going through a series of tests, but I'm glad to hear there's been no delay in getting you seen. (((Hugs)))
I mentioned that I cleared up a puddle on Wednesday - I now think it's the one of the cats, and on reflection there is reason to believe she is unwell. As I'm not certain it's her we're taking them both in on Tuesday (first available appointment) with strict instructions that if she goes off her food we're to take her straight in. Fortunately she continues to eat like a horse. Good thing I mentioned it on here on Wednesday because the surgery asked when it first happened, so that was a marker which just happened to be on screen as I was chatting with the receptionist. Helpful. There's been a puddle every day since and I suspect a couple of patches have also been used more than once. And the dog crapped on my office floor this morning, so the bucket, microfibre and dog towels are in use all the time. The WM is doing overtime. I'm throwing all the dusters in on the next load because they've all been used and I want clean ones. I'm going to make some more duster mitts from some of them because they sure do making dusting easier and quicker.
I have not been doing my five minutes of dusting and vacuuming for the past two weeks what with one thing and another so this morning I made up for it and have used the brushy thingy on a stick to do all the cornices in the whole house and was then going to do a whole house dust but flaked out after the two basement letting rooms. Damp and dust - yuck. I will need to wash all the paintwork on those rooms before they're ready to let. I've vacuumed both of them, ready for me to do the paintwork and then they'll be ready for the arrivals in a couple of weeks. I'll carry on with the dusting tomorrow after I washed said paintwork.
I've got a brisket of beef in the slow cooker for tonight. Not tried it before that way so I hope it works.
Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.7 -
Due to still not being well I've done next week's list slightly different. For the eagle eyed of you you'll notice I've recycled a 2020 post from March :D
