When it goes to token based billing there will be pressure to use AI more efficiently. Right now management just rewards using AI without any reference to ROI or how efficiently the problem is solved. That's obviously a very poor way to run a business and will have to change. Businesses that become too reliant on AI will be see significant pressure on costs.
What I'm waiting for is for AI companies to charge to use the AI to develop code and then start charging companies to use that very code.

Gemini was managing my Fantasy Premier League Team but I had to sack it the end of the season. It made so many mistakes - choosing players who were clearly injured, advising me to buy players who weren't even playing in the Premier League anymore and wrongly insisting a gameweek was a double. It was very apologetic when I pointed out these errors and complimented me on doing my own research. Not sure I'd trust it with my finances!
