To open an account, you need to:

    • Be aged 18 or over.
    • Be a UK resident.
    • Pay a gross annual income of £75,000 into the account, or have at least £100,000 in savings with us, in eligible investments(3), or a mix of both.

Also offering the same amount if you open a business account with them (conditions apply, but no salary requirement specified).

I don't get the guidance for when you already have a Barclaycard. What is this all about? I don't have the Barclays app installed. Only the Barclaycard app is installed on my phone.

for those interested in switching. I'm in the process now and have found out two things that they don't explicitly say:

    1. the 75k requirement is for the whole gross income, i.e. base salary + bonus + whatever. In my case that made the difference helping me to go over the threshold
    2. when you register in the app it asks you of your net monthly income. During my call to Barclays support I found out that they also looking for 40k net coming into the account. At least that's what their support agent told me

I've applied for the regular bank account to attempt the £200 switch incentive. I can't find the t&c's on their website though, even though it's publicised elsewhere.

Anyway, does anyone else have issues confirming their identity on the app? This happened to me last time and i gave up as a result, but I have a half day this time so will grit my teeth and go in person to complete the rest of the identity checks and application.

There isn't a £200 switch incentive. Unless it's advertised on the Barclays website it doesn't exist.

This one I think, but the search results is confusing.

That's strange. I spent 15 minutes on Barclays website trying to find a £200 switch offer and couldn't find one anywhere.

I've now created a new thread for this offer as it's a bit different to this one.

Is the £75k specifically salary or just £4k+ paid into the account per month?

For the switch offer you need to pay £4k+ into the account within 30 days of opening it.

If you plan on keeping the Premier Account long term you need to be paying in a gross annual income of at least £75k to the account (or have a total balance of at least £100k in savings or "eligible investments" with Barclays).
