Price has now doubled !!!! !!!!!!
Not sure what to do know , tried another company and put full time job as house husband and my part time job as adult support worker and hardly no price increase

I'm a little unclear as to what your actual question is. You need to enter your correct employment details and whether it's full-time or part-time. As you rightly say, entering incorrect information could well invalidate the policy.
Enter the correct details into a price-comparison site, then just choose the best option for your needs (which may not necessarily be the cheapest quote).
Do make sure that your policy covers everything you need work-wise. Do you just commute to a single place of work? Do you visit clients at various sites or their homes? Do you transport clients in your car?

Hi Clive
You need to enter something into full time option and you can also enter in a part time option
The full time option can't be left blank , so as I only work 3 days a week , 4 days I am a house husband
I'm not retired or unemployed but just have a part time job

Then your current job is your full time job as you don't have any other employment. Who decides the minimum number of hours to decide part time?

Insurance company said if work less than 37 hours classed as part time job

It does sound odd that you have to put down a full-time job - there must be thousands of people who only work part-time. It may be worth going old-school and giving them a call, see if they can do it manually over the phone?
Other than that, I think the most sensible - and truthful - option is to, as you say, put down house husband as your full-time job, with your other part-time job as support worker. At least then you can do some comparison quotes, and I think they'd have a hard job arguing that you'd entered false information.

Fair enough. But I thought most full time jobs were 36.5 hours these days?

No legal definition, though there may be definitions for certain specific circumstances. 35-40 is probably the norm, current client full time is 35 hours but many are working more (paid well above NMW so no issue there), did have one place that was 42.5 hours.

Why? That would be 7 hours 18 mins a day for a 5 day week?

Maybe they get a 12 minute unpaid break? Does seem an odd time though.

Typo for 37.5 hours?
In any event unless the insurance company actually specifies a definition at the time you fill in the form, it's a question of what a "normal person" would understand full-time to mean. I've had "full time" contracts which specify anywhere between 35 and 40 hours a week, all of which I would confidently declare as a full time job.
