Pretty sure we've discussed this before, but the fact that a bank chooses to label its internal processes as 'fraud' (for unauthorised transactions) and 'dispute' (those eligible for chargeback) doesn't in itself mean that the latter aren't fraudulent in the commonly-accepted sense of the word, such as the first example quoted above (money taken and nothing sent).

But yes, it sounds unlikely that either would apply here.

Meta gets paid by the advertisers, not by the users. So they will take all the adverts they can get. It makes no difference to them if half the adverts are scams.

Reporting a scam advert is no different to clicking the "don't show this advert again" box. They will hide the advert from you, and that's all.

    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

I gave up reporting Scam sites on facebook. They never agree, even when, there is no address, claiming to be Uk based & clearly are not, as based in China. All about the money. Just like Shopify (Yes they do have legit sites as well)

I had an issue with same online retailer, October 2025.

Luckily I paid with PayPal (goods and services transaction). Sent PayPal a photo of item received and a screenshot of their ‘20% refund’ to keep the faulty and misrepresented item. Got a full refund from PayPal within barely a couple of minutes. Probably helped was my first PayPal dispute raised. Quite irrelevant to the OPs issue but just incase helps anyone.
