Can this structure be knocked down?

The structure in the corner, where the shelves are, and below it. It is solid wall, and was also in the adjoining room in the next room. I'm thinking it might've been a chimney, but not too sure. Any ideas?

OP, you currently don't know what it is, so ask via the EA, or at the viewing. And also look at the roof between the neighbouring semi., and other similar houses.
How important is it that it comes out? If 'very', then consider - if it's a stack - it will cost a few £k. How many, I don't know, but could be 'quite a few'.
